Description of function

The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, organising, and overseeing multiple projects.

Job responsibilities
  • To plan, organize, control, co-ordinate, lead, motivate to achieve optimal balance between cost, time, benefit and risk in marine geophysical projects
  •  Compose and direct the on- and offshore project team
  • Liaise with the client and the project team on a regular basis
  • Investigate alternative working methods to improve existing methods
  • Draw up a budget plan in cooperation with the commercial department
  • Control the project budget on a weekly basis and report to the accounting department and the PMO manager
  • Report on the progress of the project to the PMO manager
  • Approve subcontractors and suppliers
  • Identify and organize any additional work under the agreed contract
  • Prepare invoices, control debtors and act if necessary
  • Take a leadership role on all QHSE matters to ensure the project is managed in a safe and efficient manner
  • Liaise closely with the QHSE department and ensure the QHSE guidelines are adhered to
CAPABILITY PROFILE; KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor/master degree in a survey related discipline : hydrography, geography, geology, geomatics of relevant experience
  • 5 years of experience in survey project management
  • Project management experience
  • Technical knowledge regarding hydrographical in geophysical equipment
  • QHSE knowledge & experience
  • Experience in the marine environment
