Description of function
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, organising, and overseeing multiple projects.
Job responsibilities
- To plan, organize, control, co-ordinate, lead, motivate to achieve optimal balance between cost, time, benefit and risk in marine geophysical projects
- Compose and direct the on- and offshore project team
- Liaise with the client and the project team on a regular basis
- Investigate alternative working methods to improve existing methods
- Draw up a budget plan in cooperation with the commercial department
- Control the project budget on a weekly basis and report to the accounting department and the PMO manager
- Report on the progress of the project to the PMO manager
- Approve subcontractors and suppliers
- Identify and organize any additional work under the agreed contract
- Prepare invoices, control debtors and act if necessary
- Take a leadership role on all QHSE matters to ensure the project is managed in a safe and efficient manner
- Liaise closely with the QHSE department and ensure the QHSE guidelines are adhered to
CAPABILITY PROFILE; KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor/master degree in a survey related discipline : hydrography, geography, geology, geomatics of relevant experience
- 5 years of experience in survey project management
- Project management experience
- Technical knowledge regarding hydrographical in geophysical equipment
- QHSE knowledge & experience
- Experience in the marine environment
